Mobile Development

Portfolio

Here is a selection of some of the things I am, or have been involved with.

Mobile

  • Nearme

I am the senior/lead developer on the Nearme mobile service for Oxford Softworks. Everything from the server, down to the handset application and the wap site.

  • Price is Right: Mobile Edition

This was the first game we did on mobile, and we certainly could of done a lot of things better, but overall I think it was a good game, and a great project to work on.

  • Family Fortunes: Mobile Edition

Family Fortunes was a really successful game, reaching the top 10 of most of the operator’s charts.

  • Blockbusters: Mobile Edition

This was a real favorite of mine. The game itself was really fun, the only problem with it was its questions were, at times, too easy, and you didn’t always feel challenged enough.

Websites

  • Worcester Physio website

This was a small website I did for a friend, who’s partner is a Physiotherapist in the Worcester area. It was a simple, clean design, and took me about a day or two to fully complete. I also host it on my server.

  • The Rigante gaming guild

The Rigante is a small group of gaming friends, who like to play online games (RPG, FPS etc) together. The website is hosted and run by myself, using VBulletin forum software. I also created the theme of the site.

  • Evercraft II

This was a website created for people who play Everquest II. It included a database for game reference (specifically the crafting side of the game - hence the name Evercraft II, which is a play on the name of the game), but also a community forum and other tools for users.
Unfortunately the website proved to be alot more work than my friend Alan and I could put in, so it never really took off.

  • Nevermore gaming guild

For a time, I co-ran a gaming guild in Dark Age of Camelot, with my friend Alan. We had a website running in VBulletin, and this is where I got my first taste of using vbulletin themes and coding plug-ins for it. The guild has since been disbanded.
